Boynton Scholar Club

The Boynton Scholar Club (BSC) has been instituted this year to recognize those students that have achieved not only high marks, but maintain positive choices at school and have excellent attendance.  Every six weeks student progress reports are sent home.  Based on a student's grades, attendance and discipline file, students will have the opportunity to apply to the BSC.

The number of segments a student earns (3 per semester) will be added to their transcripts as well as encouraged to be placed on a student's resume.  Based on the number of segments, students will have access to special graduation tassels, ropes and medals to highlight their achivements.

Requirements

Grades	Attendance	Discipline
3.0 GPA or higher for all classes. No F's.	Exemplary attendence with very few days tardy.	No discipline problems over the past segment.

Students that are already enrolled in the BSC from the prior segment do not need to re apply as they will be automatically enrolled if all three requirements are met.  If a student is enrolled in one segment and does not meet the requirements for the second segment they must reapply.

There are also other benefits that are bestowed upon the BSC members.  At least once during their six week segment that they are enrolled there will be a special lunch and/or event that will only be available to BSC members in good standing.

We are also working on a BSC scholarship available to graduating seniors enrolling in community college or trade schools.
