Boynton High School, Camden Community Day & Alternative Programs
Principal – Michael J. Madalinski March 2008 - Volume 1 – Edition 6 Superintendent – Dr. Rhonda Farber
As you can read on the attachment to this newsletter, our accreditation has finally arrived. The team, representing the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) will arrive on Sunday, March 30 to meet the community. If you can possibly make time in your schedule to meet the members of this team, all of us, would really appreciate it. We will begin at 3:00 in the staff lounge/workroom. Light refreshments will be served and we will show a video highlighting the year’s events.
All of your students have been busy preparing for the visit. They have been reminded several times about our Established School Wide Learning Results (ESLRs). I have included the Boynton ESLRs on the back of this newsletter. The ESLRs are the foundation of what we, the staff, believe is our function as educators. These are the fundamentals that drive instruction and curriculum.
We all believe that Boynton is a great place for students. We have high expectations and your children live up to those expectations. We are all looking forward to an experience that will affirm our belief that we are working hard to make your child’s experience a great one. We also look forward to some constructive suggestions on how to make Boynton an even better place for kids. Remember that a WASC accreditation means that a high school diploma from Boynton is valued by community colleges, businesses, the military, trade schools, other high schools and universities.
The Boynton High School Career Faire will take place on Wednesday, April 16 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Many guest speakers representing a variety of jobs, colleges and trade schools will be making presentations. If you would like to be a guest speaker and share what you do for work, please contact the Boynton counselor, Ms. Katrina Rubenstein at 626-3404 ext: 4130. She would be more than happy to give you more information.
